The "Yokai" North American Tour takes over Toronto
On April 24th Dropout Kings stopped by the iconic Toronto venue "Sneaky Dee's" for energy fueled night along their Yokai Tour, bringing Lost in Separation & Kent Osbourne to support!
When the time came for Dropout Kings to walk up on stage the crowd gained energy with each step, The floor opened up and the moshing started instantly with the first track "Devil Fruit" proving to be a perfect intro to the band before breaking out into "Black Sheep" & "First Day Out" featuring chuggy riff's, massive chorus's and lyrics anybody could shout! After the first 3 tracks of the set being off their recent album release "Yokai" the kings put the setlist back in time to 2018 and played fan favorite tracks "Going Rogue" & "Bad Day" by this time you could feel the floor bouncing beneath your feet due to the sheer jumping & moshing that Sneaky Dee's was experiencing. The band proceeded to play nearly every track off of their Yokai album and sprinkled in "Hey Uh" & "Glitch Gang" which are staples in the bands older discography. The show closed out with "Deadname" an anthemic & arena ready track with a narly breakdown.
This especially captivating set almost felt like a statement towards the world with Sneaky Dee's facing a potential fate of being closed, tonight was a perfect reason as to why this venue is a necessity to not only the city, but the rest of the world filled with talented artists needing a stage to perform on.
The Dropout Kings "Yokai" tour is only getting started & has many dates remaining. You can catch the guy's in Ottawa and Montreal before they are back in the United States May 7th-23rd to finish off the tour!
